Reproduction: In the Mediterranean, mature females are found in March and September. They carry the eggs in a big clutch among the pleopods.
Maturity: Atlantic (Crosnier & Forest 1973): smallest ovigerous female 24 mm carapace length.
Mediterranean (Abello &Valladares 1988): ovigerous females range 27.6 - 37.5 mm carapace length; (Gastoni et al. 2010): ovigerous females range 22.1 - 35.4 mm carapace length.
