Description: A deep-sea oplophorid shrimp. Generally transparent but covered with scattered red spots. Internal organs and eggs are also scarlet red, and the eyes are brown. Has deep purple photophores near the ventral margin which produce luminescence.
Global Distribution: Eastern Central Pacific, Atlantic Ocean and the Arctic.
