Description: Body elongate, compressed behind anus. Massive head, strong acute teeth. Brown colour, densely spotted with small light patches; dorsal and anal fins light-edged. Pectoral and pelvic fins are absent.
Global Distribution: Shelf and island slopes on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.
