Description: Body moderately elongate and slender; head large and robust. Large eyes. High dorsal fin. Body brownish-green to olive with darker markings on the sides; head darker, pink or purple.
Global Distribution: Eastern Atlantic from the the Iberian Peninsula do Cape Verde and Senegal; also in the Mediterranean. Western Central and Southern Atlantic.
