Description: A small to medium-sized elongate fish, with jaws extended to form a long beak filled with sharp teeth. Dorsal and anal fin located in a posterior position. Pectoral fins short. Fins without spines; composed only of soft rays. Greenish blue dorsally; lighter on the ventral side. The skeleton is, surprisingly, green.
Global Distribution: North-Eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea.
