Description: A deep-water fish. Body fairly elongate and compressed, with large head, large eyes, and a long acute snout. Dorsal fin origin anterior to anal fin origin. Scaleless. Teeth in the jaws and also in the roof of the mouth. Head blackish; body pale yellowish.
Global Distribution: Northeastern Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, Indian Ocean, and probably also in the Western Central Pacific.
